2 x Sultan Boreks (beef and spinach) (bake at home)

A recipe from Oscar’s Mum! This traditional Turkish pastry  is made with  spinach and cooked beef mince and herbs 
 

How To Cook

 

  1. Defrost the borek in the fridge for a maximum of 24 hours or  couple hours on the kitchen bench until they get soft.
  2. Place them one a lined baking tray 
  3. Preheat the oven to 180°C, egg wash the borek for nice brown colour and bake Sultan borek fan force for around 20 - 25 minutes until they are golden brown.
  4. Let it rest 5 minutes before you enjoy.

Ingredients

Filling [house- minced beef (25%), spinach (15%), egg, mozzarella cheese (milk), cheddar cheese (milk), cumin, pepper], Pastry [wheatflour, vegetable oil, salt, yeast (soy), salt, water], poppy seeds.

Contains: wheat, gluten, egg, milk, soy.

May contain: sesame seeds.

We tried baking it from frozen and after letting it rest in fridge for a few hours and in both cases they were absolutely delicious. Will order again.
