Vegetarian Turkish Pide (bake at home) 600g (3 serves)

Traditionally a Turkish comfort food, and one of Oscar’s specialties.

How to Bake

Defrost the pide in the fridge for a maximum of 24 hours or on the kitchen bench for a couple of hours.

Preheat the oven to 200°C,  place the pide on a lined baking tray egg wash for nice brown colour and fan bake for around 20 minutes until it is brown, The pide should be piping hot in the centre. Check by inserting a metal skewer or knife into the centre for 15 seconds  -if the tip is too hot to touch when removed, it is ready! You can also use a thermometer to see if it is 72°C in the centre

Baking From Frozen: Set the oven to fan bake 200°C and place the pide in the oven while the oven is heating up.  Bake it for around 40 minutes until light brown.
